Hi all, I'm considering going into GD&D after a family friend graduated from RIT's program this year because it seems like a really sweet deal for a creative person who loves computers, programming and video games in general.
My question, though, is what exactly does GD&D entail that makes it so different than the comp sci department? As I understand it's part of the IGM department, so why is it there exactly?
I like algorithms, programming in general and analyzing game aspects, but suck at graphics ad plotlines, am I better off in CS? Is there a huge difference in the required courses? Is one more difficult to stay in than another?
Thanks in advance and I hope it's not too vague!
