Because I just saw this http://imgur.com/psq0e8T in the global grille, and they really need to be more precise and transparent on their labeling. It even says on their website that things marked as Vegetarian do not contain any meat or meat-based products - FISH IS NOT VEGETARIAN. The "comprehensive" list of veg*n options I got at the beginning of the semester had very little actual information about what's vegan and what's not. I guess this is a warning to my fellow veg students - be 200% more careful if you buy food on campus.
EDIT: people are saying it's because of cross contamination. This is not clear, which is the problem. More transparency would be really, really nice.
