Main menu bug on Xbox one

I bought seekers of the storm as soon as I was able but now am completely stuck on the main menu with only moving the highlighted piece up or down, I've reset my console twice, un-installed and reinstalled the game, and have been closing and reopening it but nothing quite seems to work.... I've seen people have fixes for this on PlayStation and PC but am I the first to have this problem on Xbox? In not how we're you able to fix this frustrating bug?
