My friends account hacked?

So my friend and I decided to play valorant and he logs in and instantly gets put in a game where its mid-way and hes the 6th player instantly put onto sova and we are removed from his friends list and theres knew people does this mean he was hacked or that riot bugged, hes had his account for a while as he used to play league.
