Riot Client will open but LoL wont open

So ive been troubleshooting this for a while now, i can open riot but any time i try to play league itll look like its about to start then send me back to the riot LoL home screen again. The only thing i could say it might be is my account but it doesnt seem like any action has been taken upon it so im at a loss. has this happened to anyone else?
