i will be writing this into a full ass essay btw. this is pulled from the bootlegs and the diagnostic criteria, of which you need to fit at least 4 criteria to recieve a diagnosis. (ty u/BoopUrPupper for encouraging me to put this out there, ilysm /p)
- A pattern of unstable interpersonal relationships that alternate between idealizing and devaluing the relationship.
I think this especially fits his dynamic with Noel, and how, up until some point, he seems to try and push Noel completely, and then after that point, it's like... he never really seems to let his guard down, except with Noel, or when it comes to him.
- Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging
This shows well in his anger issues, him committing to a life while still being super young and unaware (which can also low-key fit frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment tbh), and pushing people away
- Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood
We see how his mood can flip on a dime. Wile it's played off for laughs, he goes from, in the maybe 15 minutes from his introduction to Ricky's, fairly calm, to full of anger, to passionate about Talia, to anger again (as shown by the auto-tuned part in Talia and how he said he uses autotuned music when he's angry) to frantic and desperate, to crying.
- Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger
I think this is self-explanatory for the angriest kid in town.
And! There's an observed thing in people with BPD, the Favourite/Fixated Person. It related into unstable dynamics, and it's the idealising part. Which, like, I can totally see that fitting into his view of Talia.
