I should preface by saying any questions I have about the musical are about the 2016 off Broadway production so if anything significant has changed since then that would relate to my question let me know

When Jane Doe gets brought back and it is revealed that she is Penny Lamb do we know if

A. She was always Penny Lamb

B. She was brought back to life as Penny Lamb

And if option A would Karnak have made it so she never died in the accident? Whether that be she never went on or she did go on and got lucky?
