Im pretty sure there was already thousands of 25 paragraph posts and videos by now about how S5 is kinda all over the place so im gonna spare you the lecture and just say : yes its because of the very reasons everyone is criticizing this show for. I was so excited and so happy that Evil Morty showed up in the finale, especially since i've been following this show since 2015 so i really wanted to see what i was waiting for this whole time.

but you know then they just had to screw it all up with constant self-awarness and corny fucking jokes that completely bring you out of the moment, and at times even makes you feel stupid for actually caring about the resolution to this long awaited plot, Or just plot in general.

You know, just because they constantly reference your own formula, and make fun of people's expectations, It doesn't mean its funny, or witty. It just comes off as irritating and completely pretentious. I am geniuenly disapointed with this season sadly, and hope the next one will at least be a bit better because this is just a disaster.
