In the spirit of a similar post from yesterday, what are your favorite courses in your major(s)/minor(s) AND out of your major/minor requirements?
My favorite courses in my major are: MECH 200 (Thermodynamics) with Dr. Schaefer, MECH 481 (Heat transfer) with Dr. Wehmeyer, and MECH 340. Part of it is that I loved the professors which made me, in turn, love the class. Also MECH 340 is more hands-on with learning how to lathe and weld so I adored that lab.
Outside of my major: I really loved GERM 338 with Dr. Blumenthal-Barby. It was a class about how German cinema changed after WW2 and we got to watch films from Germany's most prominent filmmakers so that was a lot of fun.
I also loved JWST 301 (Jewish food), because I learned a lot about what eating kosher really meant and how it's changed throughout history and the ideological reasons behind it. We also got to eat at Kenny and Ziggy's, which was amazing and i loved it
