Swelling

Hey everyone, just wondering how you guys deal with the swelling? Was on a heavy load of pain meds since a surgery two years ago. I took myself off because obviously after two years they weren't doing me any good. I'm on Methotrexate and I give myself a shot weekly but now my hands are swelling more. Appointment next month with doctor but I need some relief. Tried over the counter pain relief and icing but no help. Trying to upload pictures but can't figure that out lol
