Stability Factors - Questions from a undergrad
Post Body

Hey guys, I'm working on doing some filter testing, and I've got this fun little Network Analyzer in front of me. Specifically, the 9kHz to 13.6GHz model of this guy.

My professor mentioned that he'd like me to test the stability factor of the board for any potential instabilities. Now, from a theory point of view, the only stability knowledge I have is pole-zero diagrams, so what this machine has is over my head. (He wasn't entirely sure what I should see either, he hasn't used this equipment before.)

What I'm asking of everyone is for a bit of knowledge. What do I want to see in a filter board? Which of these options would I use?

This is a screencap of the Stability Factors list, the plot in the middle is just a magnitude plot of the output. http://i.imgur.com/4kWAx.png
