Specifically the issue I think we’re all familiar with, where if you try to play it on an lcd screen that the lcd screen may not be capable of producing that little light box for the zapper to detect.

I noticed that when I play the game, whenever I point the gun at the screen, it doesn’t produce that white box for the gun to detect whether or not you were aiming for it and whether or not it was a hit. Yet when I point it away, the box magically appears. I will try my best to get it on video as well, but I’m gonna use my game genie to aid me in this video.

I noticed that even when I put in the code elxslzei - perfect accuracy in game a duck mode, if I point the zapper at the screen it will miss the duck.

I don’t think it’s that the lcd can’t display it, if anything it may be too bright for the gun, or the gun is broken, which may be possible but given that with the cheat it still won’t show the box if I aim at the screen, it may be the gun telling the game to not display the box, like with the Atari Jaguar cd add on, fresh out of the box, not working with the regular console.

Notice how the light just doesn’t show up even with cheats when I point at the screen. Anything else will work with cheats, and it shows the light without cheats when I point away from the screen.

Edit 3: so I may be wrong about it being the gun, but the fact of the matter as shown in the video is that even with a cheat code to make you never miss, if I aim at the screen it’s usually gonna miss
