I don’t work retail anymore, but I work food service.

I’m a closer and work with the most annoying crew. I’m gonna sound like a bitch so bare with me

I work at a university and we need TWO students by contract to work with us. I swear to GOD my boss hires dumb asses.

I’m here about 5 years and experiencing burnout getting hardly a fucking raise.

We just lost our cashier because she’s fed up with doofuses not working leaving us late.

Our supervisor is a typical perv male and favors the guys more. Our new student hire only works 4 fucking hours yet he likes to fuck around and not help out much at night.

But here I am busting my ass cleaning a whole grill area, main area and i get rushed by my supervisor at times.

For fucks wake I got hit with some virus and had to work the next day while healing, I felt like SHIT. I wanted to go home! This new hire mostly stands at the register and doesn’t take time between break to clean the island bar. When we close he helps just enough then starts walking around eating a god damn cookie while talking with the guys.

If he’s done out in the front he can go into the back and help with dishes.

Nah he likes to walk around, do a small few things, hide in the bathroom, etc,

Our other new hire, old lady, works 12-13 hour shifts and still kicks butt helping us since we are short staffed. She’s up 3 am, works 6 am until 7 pm at night

I sounds like a cunt, I’m all for coworker needing breaks

But if you’re working 4 hours and hardly doing shit, just ..go 😭 leave.

So about my supervisor, he favors guys and won’t do shit to harp on this student, I have to kinda get at him ..
