Little context -
Been on a serious job search for about 4 months. Iām started to get a little stressed. At times, Iāve had some decent progress. A couple of zoom/phone calls here and there but ultimately leading to nowhere. Iāve been ghosted on several after what I thought were terrific initial interviews. However, Iāve applied to hundreds with zero contact.
I left my previous job in Apr. 2021 to relocate to Dallas. (My girlfriend was right - moving to her city made far more sense than her moving to mine). I had some rental properties I was able to sell and have been living off that plus stock/crypto profits. So I spent a few months enjoying life/moving. Financially, Iām okay but Iām approaching the end of those funds. Iāve been doing a decent amount of freelancing lately to have spending money - Digital marketing and small home construction and repair. The company I own is a simple LLC that I used to purchase my rental properties, but have been working under it as a freelancer.
I believe my resume is the biggest obstacle I face. I do tailor it to the job description a little, but it doesnāt deviate much from the one posted here.
Here are my biggest questions:
How is my format. Especially relating to āprofessional experienceā and āpersonal experienceā
Is this the correct way to label my work experience gap
Iāve used a resume format before where I separated my two roles āassociate marketing director/event directorā. Do I keep those lumped together or separate them
I suck at bullet points. Whatās the best way to do this
Roast it. Tear it apart. Tell me what Iām doing wrong. I need a job.
Roles Iām looking for is anything marketing related. Open to really anything, I am not set on marketing.
Thanks to all for the help.
