Senator Wyden spoke at the Portland City Club this afternoon; I was able to catch him as he was leaving the stage, my question was really simple:

“Senator Wyden, I’ve been an organizer of Portland’s response to support you and challenge the NSA; what should citizen activists do next to support you?”

“There are specific pieces of legislation being introduced in the fall, these will need a lot of support.”

“Writing your representative, then?"

“Yes, exactly.”

So, that’s what our champion congressmen wants. It would be advantageous of citizen activists to prepare for actions in the fall by collecting contact information and preparing to host large rallies and advising other citizens to support their representatives in voting for this legislation.
