In the world of I'm the Grim Reaper, Satan creates Grim Reapers by taking the soul of a sinner from Hell and offering them a contract - return to the world of the living as a Reaper and kill one sinner each day, or fail and return to Hell to suffer. One such sinner, an amnesiac who took the name Scarlet, was bound for the ninth level of Hell - an eternity of total sensory deprivation - when the devil dragged her soul aside and offered her his deal. Accepting the offer, Satan bound her soul to a demon and returned her to the world of the living, where she started trying to find out who she was and what had damned her to the lowest level of Hell while working to maintain Satan's contract.
I'm the Grim Reaper is created by GRAVEWEAVER and can be read here.
Scarlet scales to another Reaper named Brook, whose respect thread you can find here.

Physicals
Strength
- Tears handcuffs apart
- Has no trouble carrying a man
- Slams a guy to the ground
- Knocks a gang member out with a jump kick then takes down a second with a sleeper hold
- Learns to coat her fists with demonic energy to buff her punches by copying another Reaper
Durability
Reaper durability is a little odd. Since Scarlet's body is just a flesh puppet created by Satan to serve as a vehicle for her soul, she can't be killed by damaging it - Reapers are already dead, so no matter how much the body is harmed Scarlet can't die. However, damage can still impede the function of the body, so a sufficiently damaged Reaper will no longer be able to fight, and will thus likely fail to fulfill their bargain with Satan, causing them to be damned to Hell once more.
- Gets shot in the head and is completely fine, although she briefly acts dead to keep the Reaper thing a secret
- Brook, another Reaper, slams her into the ground hard enough to shatter the street and she can still block his followup attack
- Brook smashes her head into the ground hard enough to create a small crater
- Thrown into a concrete wall hard enough to crater it
- A bullet won't kill a reaper. Even being chopped up into pieces won't put them down
- Removing a Reaper's heart won't kill them
- Another Reaper is still 'alive' after being decapitated
Agility
- Jumps in front of a bullet after it's fired
- Uses her scythe to vault over a guy and out a window while carrying someone
- Blitzes and bisects a sinner
- Charges a guy and pins him underfoot
- Weaves through Satan's attacks and jumps pretty good
- Lands on her feet after being tossed by the devil
Misc
- She's got a tail that moves without her input
- Reapers don't need to eat or sleep
- Headshots a guy with a borrowed pistol
- The daily murders mean she's gotten pretty good at cleaning up murder scenes
Powers
Scythe
Scarlet's primary weapon is a scythe she generates with her demon's power. While she typically summons the whole thing to fight, she can create smaller blades of the same energy for more versatile attacks.
- Summons it behind someone's head and decapitates them
- Summons the scythe while falling and kills a sinner as she lands
- Embeds it in cement
- Carves a trench in an alleyway by dragging it behind her
- Kills a woman
- Brutalizes a thief
- Sneaks up on and decapitates a guy
- Charges and kills a woman
- Bisects a man at the waist
- Creates a large scythe to take off a fleeing woman's foot
- Blocks a strike from Brook
- Calls up a spike and throws it to knock a radio out of someone's hand
- Calls up a small amount of power to cut rope
- Holds a small spike at someone's throat
Demon
Scarlet's powers come from the demon that Satan jammed into her body alongside her soul. When she starts to become overcome with negative emotion, the demon gains more and more influence, and will eventually take over her body. If she loses control, she can't break free with her own power, and needs to be snapped out of it by an external influence.
- The demon takes over instantly when Scarlet reaches her breaking point
- The demon comes out to free Scarlet when she's pinned
- The demon is focussed on whoever caused Scarlet to loose it, even bypassing greater threats to attack it's target
- Takes Brook's arm off before he can react
- Stabs through Brook's demon energy
- Overpowers Brook and stabs him in the throat
- Catches a kick from Brook and throws him back, crushing the bones in his ankle in the process
- Rips Brook to pieces
- Grabs and throws a guy
- It's formless, so gunfire doesn't bother it
- Blocks a bullet before it hits Scarlet
- Gets impaled several times by an Archangel's summoned blades and still rushes forwards and stabs her
- Nailed to the ground by an Archangel's summoned blades and manages to tear itself free before long
Scarlet eventually appears to gain some form of control over the demon, although this is recent and the details of this situation are still unclear.
- Shatters the ground with a punch
- Kicks up a huge spray of debris with an attack
- Shatters Satan's defence
- Lands a blow on Satan
- Climbs by using her claws to stab into the wall
Sinner's Mark
- Sinners are marked with an X in a Reaper's sight, making viable targets visible at a glance
- The mark doesn't give any details as to the nature or scale of a sin, and a serial killer will appear the same as someone whose greatest crime was to steal a snail a day from the restaraunt she worked at for a few years
- What counts as a 'sin' is based on the values substantiated by humanity
- The sinner's mark doesn't care about circumstance or morality, only that you've committed a sin
Hell
When a Reaper kills their daily sinner, they are transported to Hell to witness Satan judging and punishing their victim.
