Brandon Sharpe, also known as Striker, was taught by his mother to seek the spotlight from a young age. After a traumatic event activated his latent electrokinetic powers, he swiftly started trying to use them to get famous, appearing at truck rallies and trying out for superhero-themed reality tv shows. Instead, he attracted the attention of Norman Osborn. Once Osborn was shut down, Striker and five other young heroes were recruited by Hank Pym, becoming the founding class of Avengers Academy.

Striker is a powerful electrokinetic. While he mostly just uses his powers to zap people, training and experimenting with the Avengers has helped him figure out a myriad of more complex applications for them, ranging from fooling security systems to electromagnetic forcefields or flight.
