Every year someone gets stuck by lightening and gains superpowers. Each new Power is twice as strong as the previous one. Jason is the 9th Power giving her strength, durability, speed 512 times greater than when he was a normal human, and the ability to fly too. After the person gains their powers they go into a berserk state for ~16 seconds. He was lucky and was "Born" while out hiking on a mountain miles away from anyone, even still he destroyed a mountain while in his berserk state.

• Being older and a higher Power than her, Jason should be able to do everything that Arika can.

Notable fights,

• This fight against the 10th Power would have to take place within around 16 seconds.

• We know he and the 12th Power killed each other during 12's berserk state. But we don't see any of it in the story beyond him scooping her up to fly away from civilization.

• [Strength] During his berserk state he destroyed a mountain.

• [Speed/Strength] ]Tackles the 10th Power through a (probably a skyscraper) building fast and hard enough to lift it several feet off its foundation.

• [Speed] Travels from the Arctic to the Mongolian border in some amount of time likely more than 30 minutes

• [Speed] Capable of hypersonic speeds

• [Speed] Powers are described as being able to fly fast enough to ignite the air they move through.

• [Speed] Flies from near ground level to space within a few seconds.

• [Speed] Disarms a bunch of guards before they can react.

• [Speed/Durability/Strength?] After flying down from space releases the 10th Power who hits the side of a mountain like a small nuke. Jason also survives hitting the mountain but at a shallow angle.

  • This kills the 10th Power but Jason speculates that something caused them to turn more neutral and that is what killed them.

• [Speed/Durability] While in space flies past the 10th Power then turns around and hits him at 7 kps.

• [Durability] Was punched through a mountain once. Though I am not exactly sure when that was supposed to happen.

• [Durability] His skin can't be penetrated by a diamond tipped needle which can penetrate the 8th Power's skin.

• [Durability Cold] More resistant to the cold than normal humans.

• [Durability/Limit?] Still can get Sunburns. Though I am not sure if this is just early installment oddness because Powers would be fairly easy to kill via radiation if they still got sunburns but various factions don't attempt to do anything like that. Power of Two is one of the older stories.

• [Misc] Can sense other Powers and top speed is unknown outside of the atmosphere

• [Misc] In his first story it says he still eats and drinks like normal.

  • But later a different Power talks about how food doesn't get digested.
  • The author says these are both plot inconsistencies and doesn't resolve it one way or the other.
