Printing Indoors On A Budget / Beginner Printing Setup
Post Body

I'm new to resin printing and I struggled with fumes for the first week of having my printer. I've finally found a solution that eliminates the fumes for one of the cheapest options I could find, I've done a lot of research on Reddit and other forum websites and everyone says the solution is to get a ventilated enclosure or start printing outside. Most enclosures are over $100, and I live in Chicago where the nights can get down to -10 Degrees Fahrenheit (-23 C) in the winter so outside isn't an option for cheap. For this solution, I put my printer (Creality Halot Mage non-pro) right next to the window put the exhaust pipe that it came with pointed outside, and filled the rest of the window with an exhaust fan ($50 on Amazon). My specific exhaust fan works perfectly for this because it has different modes, one for full exhaust which pulls all of the fumes out of the room outside, and another mode for circulation which brings air in with one fan and exhausts with the other. Before installing this I couldn't be in the room for more than 5 minutes, I honestly think I'm allergic to resin. After installing it, it's like I don't even have resin in the room - The best part is that it only costs $50. Let me know what you think if you're more experienced.

Printer, Gloves, Funnel, Silicone Mats, and resin = ~$397 all in (depending on brands) for a full resin printing setup. That's a decent chunk of money to start a new hobby but it is definitely on the cheaper side of setups.
