Coating Food in Resin?

Howdy folks! I’m working on a mixed media piece and I’d love to coat sour gummy worms/dried mushrooms in resin for it. I don’t want it to be a solid block of resin or anything. I’m assuming that this necklace which uses legit fruit loops is coated in resin somehow, but I’ve searched high abs low for a technique on the internet and I can’t find ANYTHING. Can anyone help me out with a how to? The necklace is by Dady Bones btw!
