Question for when to add liquid dye for swirling to tabletop!

Table top is curvy, but squared it’s about 23x45” and aiming to do a .5-.65” pour. I have Epodex Pro epoxy resin and pro hardener in ultra clear. After all of the videos and information on the site and YouTube, I’m a bit confused. When is it optimal to add liquid dye that I’ll be swirling with a toothpick for a bit of a smoke effect? It’s about 70f in the work area. Should I wait an hour or just continually test?

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is only my 2nd pour and I totally messed up the first!
