Iāve been finally doing my professional play through of this mostly amazing game-but the fight I knew would give me the most trouble is the Jack fight in the ruins.
This fight gives me shit every damn time I play regularly to the point I die at least once during the final phase each time. When I first did this fight I literally couldnāt beat it till they made his health pool smaller cause I used all my ammunition on him.
Now he kills me in 1-2 hits depending on the attack and his health is at max
Iām literally stuck cause I canāt dodge then aim then turn then back up-THE GAME SEEMS TO FORGET LEON CONTROLS LIKE A TANK-ONCE YOU DECIDE AN ACTION YOU ARE ALL BUT DEDICATED TO IT! I canāt take aim then back up if it turns out to be an attack I canāt quick dodge with.
I have tons of handgun ammo for my Red9-have 21 shotgun shells with a riot gun-115 TMP ammo-7 mine darts-a first aid spray and a green and yellow mix and single green herb-and a rocket launcher.
With all of this in mind I still get killed cause his attacks are too quick to get a read on.
This is bullshit-is there a trick here or a way to cheese this fight?
Hell there are times where I quick dodge and still get killed so Iāve just about had it with this garbage boss. Only part of this game I hate.
Options?
EDIT: I looked up a video of someone using a knife in a speed run-legit said āOh I gotta see thisā and legit my jaw dropped! Did it on the second try by timing my knife swipes.
Seriously who the hell would put the pieces together from the QTE scene to use that legit as a strategy when the knife is only best against barrels and enemies on the brink of death.
Iāll give them credit for putting in a failsafe-like when all else fails-use the knife and it actually works wonders but with how much a pain it is to even get a chance to use all your ammo-who would even get a chance to even think of using it with how much suffering you go through.
And considering many seem to learn this trick way after the fact-I know Iām not the only one who says itās whackā¦but to be fair with 3 times Iāve played this boss and gone through the suffering of getting my ass kicked again and again-Iām happy to have an option of beating him quickly and humorously-itās cathartic to say the least to have that option
