So mods don't work on the steam deck?

There is so little information that I can find, and what I do find doesn't specify whether I need to use fluffy mod manager or fluffy manager 5000. People also don't say how to set up fluffy on the deck. Can anyone help me with this? I mainly want to mod RE4R, but I'm also interested in modding RE2R.
