What order should I play the RE games in without playing too many?
Post Body

Like, are any of the games difficult to understand without playing the ones before them? I don't know anything about this franchise, I just know that it's a survivial horror and shooting (?) game, I just know abt it because I saw a video of Lady Dimitresu and I got interested since I've had concepts similar to her before. I'm more interested in the story and characters, so can I understand the story properly and enjoy the games without playing all of them? If so, then which ones specifically should I play that are NEEDED for the story? I just need a few (preferrably one or two) games that I can both enjoy playing, and understand the characters and story well.

Resident evil 2 is but not 4! Maybe you’ll like 2 enough to buy 4 but I’m sure it will be added sooner or later

I’d start with the resident evil 2 remake personally and then go to the resident evil 4 remake.

Whilst I enjoyed the remake of 3 the story doesn’t affect 4 so those two would be a good place to start I’d say!
