Hey,
I wanted to know the pH value of NEP because I noticed that metals are massively attacked!
I set aside the meth pipe I use and seal the hole, then place a stainless steel ball from a ball bearing, so high alloy, into the opening.
The surface is already oxidized after one use. Normally it takes over 1200 degrees for this, whether oiled or dry.
So, I dissolved NEP and put it on a pH strip: pH 7. Now here's the crazy part: when NEP vapor hits the strip, it immediately turns red, pH 0-1! How can this be explained? Is it the attached O double binding what explains this?
And would it be better to use base for vaping because this is really acidic? I'm curious.
Edit: or turn the vapor by contacting water to a ph7 solution again in the lungs? That would be great
