Huge Writing Block, Need Help.

I'm trying to write a story around an idea, but the problem is I've ran into a huge roadblock and I need to find a reddit that can help me overcome the block with some ideas, is it this one. So, basically my problem boils down to, how in the heck can a popular revolution by the people succeed in a modern world in first world-type nations? I can't think of anything believable nor find good examples.
