Rescuing a pit/terrier mix
Post Body

I was looking at a local adoption agency's website for rescuing dogs and saw this beautiful American Pitbull/terrier mix. I fell in love at first sight, but she isn't with her own baggage and I was wondering if you guys could give me some insight in to what to expect.

She was an outdoor dog and her owners had a second dog, which attacked her and resulted in her being put in a shelter as they gave her up. She's a very clam dog from what I can tell, but since she's never been an inside dog I don't know what to expect. She also wants to go mingle with all the other dogs while I was walking her around the shelter, but I'm not sure if it's for socialization or what. The workers there said that she'll probably never be able to be off leash.

I love her all the same and I'm almost certain I'm going to adopt her, but I wanted to know what to expect. Will she warm up and become more fond of me once she's out of a shelter?
