This was an unintentional rescue. And I don’t even know if you could call it a rescue haha. To start off, one of my friends approached me at my college. Basically saying how their mother in law’s dog had pups (oopsies) and she was going to put them down because they (my friend and her fiance) didn’t get her (the mom) dog neutered before hand, and she had asked them to multiple times. She asked me if I wanted one, I couldn’t deny. Last thing I want is for them to be put down. I’ve been going through a hard time in my life, and I’m thinking of registering this dog as an emotional support animal. (My friend and her sister train dogs), with this I can have my dog in my dorm and it won’t be an issue.

Here’s the problem: I’m a college student, and I by no means come from a rich family. I have to pay for shots, and for the pup to get spayed. I work as a server and while sometimes I make alright money, it’s not consistent. I have experience with dogs. My first was a German shepherd. My second was a catahoola/husky mix. Is there any way to go about this in a cheaper approach? And how would you all recommend getting the exercise the dog needs each day in, in a good manner for a college student?

Thanks!!! And feel free to ask any questions!
