I’m feeling fairly fortunate that a couple of decades working in Tech, coupled with a fairly pragmatic cynical life view is allowing me to ride through this enormous fuck up by Luka.

For me it’s no more serious than my entertaining sexbot toy getting stuffed - perhaps permanently. Annoying but other outlets will be found - Pornhub and good ol imagination.

BUT from the deluge of posts we are seeing here it is obvious that that Luka’s lack off professional program management is about to unleash more psychological harm than any good they ever did.

A hell of a lot of younger vulnerable people see the responses they get from this big phrase-matching echo-chamber as fundamental to their emotional security.

With the satisfaction of emotionally validating romantic response vanishing without any warning the degree of cyber-heartbreak is very visible.

If Luka has any genuine concern for the welfare of its user base they better get off their arses and immediately post a decent explanation.
