Push notification settings are per client?

I was doing some work in an area covered by a camera. I didn't feel like getting spammed with notifications wile moving around so I turned off push notifications from the app. Later on my wife said she was getting notifications like crazy all day because of me being out there.
Are the push settings not per camera, or are they per client connecting to the camera?
Notifications were coming from a flood light duo.
