My head hurts, I have to move from my current apartment I've been in for over 20 months because their starting apartment conversions/construction soon. I have a 696 credit score, a decent job, savings, low expenses, no debts or evictions, good references, but a fucking attempted burglary charge from nearly 6 years ago in 2015 that I had nothing to do but was wrongfully arrested for. I wasn't convicted and am not a felon but it still shows up on my record as a felony charge. I'm in South Florida and it's like HOAville, very hard to find a private owner, I don't really know what to do at this point and I'm running out of time. It hasn't affected my past 3-4 jobs all of which were at resorts or country clubs in gated communities with housing but I know rentals are different.
I'm also not sure how I should approach contacting places, I feel just opening with that looks bad since they know nothing else about me but I also don't want to waste anyone's time if a felony is an instant no.
