Can anyone recommend a cheap-but-effective set-top box for PS4 remote play? I bought this and the PS Remote software would download but wouldn't launch on it, giving me an error code that supposedly occurs because I'd jailbroken the unit (I hadn't, it came that way). After spending hours researching and experimenting with workarounds I finally gave up and returned the unit.
Must-have:
- Bluetooth for controller connectivity
- Wired ethernet
- If Android, then Android 12 (assuming I may someday get a PS5 with Dual Sense controllers)
- Doesn't require complicated software workarounds, sideloading APKs from untrusted sites, etc. to do the job; "just works"
- Relatively inexpensive (I'd prefer not to drop $200 on a NVIDEA Shield just to stream my PS4)
Like-to-have:
- Relatively small footprint
- Remote that doesn't blow chunks, or the ability to control without a remote
- UI frontend that isn't total garbage
(I already have a Fire Stick I would love to use but it looks like they don't support PS Remote anymore :-P)
Thanks!
