Possible conflict of interest with game developers as moderators
Post Body

Hello,

I, as many others probably, like game developers that (either through community managers or directly) actively communicate with the community. Luckily the guys from Gunfire Games seem to be just these kind of developers.

Posts like these, where for example game mechanics are directly explained to us, make the whole thing feel more transparent and are really a good thing.

However, I do feel that there could be a possible conflict of interest with the game developers/designers personally running the community. Take a look at r/apexlegends. Do you think it would look the same after the current Iron Crown Event debacle, if people at EA/Respawn were in control to remove posts and comments at their will?

Don't get me wrong, I am not accusing Gunfire Games of actively censoring anything, or even planning or wanting to actively censor anything. Hell, these guys made a hella fun looking game and seem pretty chill. But we have a saying in German, roughly translating to: "Trust is a good thing, but control is a better one.".

Now, I don't want to demand mass mod resignation or anything like it or try to force someone to change something about this, but just wanted to get my thoughts out there.

And maybe get your thoughts on this topic, too. So please do share.
