I myself consider myself a leftist because my view on politics leans more towards the left. I support things like environmentalism and green initiatives because I do care a lot about our environment, and I support movements that aim for equal rights, too, such as black lives matter. But me being left wing, I also support things that most Christians would be against, such as abortion rights and LGBTQ rights, and believe that we should keep religion out of politics. But I do believe in God and the bible as well despite my political views on things like abortion and LGBTQ rights. So do I still think that you can be left wing and still be a Christian? My answer is yes, but while I still consider myself a Christian despite my views on politics, I consider myself a progressive Christian because while I'm definitely not as conservative as most Christians. I still believe in religious values, and I really want to start going to church again, but this time, I want to start going to a church for progressive Christians like myself.
