I am not sure which sub this fits in - i guess age/etc is not required as its a general friendship/expectation issues..

So i havent had many friends and maybe this is why I am like this..

but i have a friend who's brother i have known for years and although we generally dont speak/text but we have recently started a job where i am with him for few hours per day. We do talk, discuss general stuff etc but to me it seems he is just passing time for example

1. he has a gym at home, and i have said as a joke that he didnt invite me to do gym with him when he knows I am exercising and stuff. (I go jogging and i invited him to go but he said no)
2. we also go to church every week, i dont have a car he has - but he never offers unless I ask (and i do on occasion) but if the guy knows i dont have a car it could be a weekly arrangement.. i feel like although he isnt my keeper but he could ask me since he lives CLOSE BY..
3. he talked about going shopping and I asked him slyly to the lines of would like to go..
4. i have in the past intermittently texted him saying hello how are you, or when he went on holiday or fwd text you get that you usually fwd it on..
5. we also went on holiday one time with my friend and him - but since then he has gone on holidays but didnt invite me

maybe its just that he doesnt see me as friend, maybe i am expecting too much from him.. i could speak to him but i feel like its my issue if that makes sense -

i am aso only doing this job more for him.. because i already have a job, this is more of a side job and he needs the money/less hassle than me

i know for example if it was the other way around i would do some of the things without asking esp the church thing.. if i considered him as a friend

and even if i tell him now and he starts doing these things it wont be because he values me it maybe to keep the peace... :/

edit: it could be because i m friends with his brother..

TL;DR! have a friend who doesnt see me as a friend (at least what i think) - or maybe I am expecting too much!
