I don't know if "ownership" is the right word. My lady and I have been together for 5 years. We're both divorcees and are very much in love. We'd be married/co-habitating by now if not for the fact that we are waiting for our kids from prior marriages to go away to college. We really are crazy about each other with great communication/sex life etc.

Here's my issue. (Going to sound like a jerk here) I am a very good looking man, women are always flirting with me etc. Cashiers, waitresses etc. I do not care about this whatsoever, I am in fact usually oblivious to it and am totally smitten with my gf.

At first my gf was irked that I was getting more attention for my looks than her. Then she grew past that.

The other night a woman asked me a question when we were in line at the grocery store. Later that night my gf said "You should go sleep with that woman, as long as you come and tell me about it." I was taken aback a bit and said "Are you defraying jealousy?" She said "No I'm not jealous at all, you should do it and come back and tell me about it."

Now of course some immature minded people, and myself at a much younger age, would be like "Whoa lucky man!", however this interaction and her apathy has really, really bothered me. I don't want her to be jealous mind you, nor do I have any interest in sleeping with anyone else, I guess I've felt connected in a life journey with someone for the first time ever and suddenly I feel that she doesn't feel the same way if she'd be so flippant and even promotional about me sleeping with another woman.

tl;dr: My soulmate doesn't care if I sleep with other women and says she'd want me to and now it's making me question our entire relationship.
