In short. This friend and I (Friends for over 10 years) have been in some rough times in terms of friendship recently and after a heart to heart, as well as a "broken" promise. And now I can't tell if I'm feeling hurt because of pure emotional investment in a friend or if, through this, have developed romantic feelings for her.

I don't want to go into detail's as this is a personal and private issue but I will happily clarify any point I see fit in the comments eventually (Seeing as I didn't really give a good description).

TL;DR: Mans confused about if he has developed romantic feelings for a life-long friend
