Okay guys so need some advice here cos I’ve just basically cut what was my best friend out of my life. We live in the same state

She is f30 and with a guy who is in prison. This guy has taken all her money, calls her names and basically threatens her and has beaten her, he’s currently serving 6months for robbery. she is obsessed with prison and constantly acts as though she knows everything about it except her mans doing 6 months in county jail?! she is doing absolutely nothing about how he treats and I totally get how domestic violence works but he is alllll she talks about, she’s put this man before her 2 kids and does absolutely nothing for her kids, her kids are on the verge of being taken from her.

today i told my friend i can no longer continue this friendship as it’s hurting me what’s going on i’ll be there for her if she needs me but i don’t wanna regularly talk. bare in mind this is a girl who never asks how i am, or cares for any issue in my life? she cares for nothing except this deadbeat

i miss this girl and i care about her deeply but rn i cannot deal with it. tl;dr- cut out my best friend because all she cares about is her deadbeat man.
