How do I (23F) deal with my grandmother?

Post Body

So, my grandmother and I tend to butt heads. We just have major personality clashes and I'll admit I'm just really stubborn at times. However, today I'm just baffled because of what happened.

I have laryngitis so I can't really talk well and she's made it clear that she thinks I'm faking it despite having a medical diagnosis. The reason she thinks I'm faking it? All because my laugh is normal. I told both her and my grandpa that my laugh is normal but I can't speak normally.

Today it hit a wtf point. I went in to say good morning as I normally do. Clarification point: I stay with them on break because they're my closest family both distance wise and relations wise (I've always been close to them). My grandma comes into the kitchen and asks me to speak. Well, I do. To nobody's surprise I still can barely talk. She says that it's gone on long enough and makes a big deal like I'm faking it so I don't have to do anything for the remainder of my break. So, how do I handle her? My grandpa is on my side with this, but he's trying to play peacekeeper between my grandma and I and I'm just very frustrated and I cant really escape this situation until the 5th when I can move back to my dormroom.

TLDR - grandmother thinks I'm faking laryngitis to be lazy for the remainder of my break despite having a medical diagnosis and straight up says that it's gone on long enough this morning.
