Long post, on mobile. Tldr at bottom My (24f) boyfriend(25m) keeps pushing off getting a job. We've both been struggling to keep a job after our move a year ago. The difference is everytime I've been out of work I spend everyday filling out applications and calling about jobs. However everytime he's been working steadily and my contract ended (doing temp work, one contract ended in July, one in October) he decides he doesn't like his job and quits leaving us with no income but promising he'll get a job as soon as he can. He quit his last job on October 21st, and has filled out one application. I'm now employed full time, not temp work, but he still refuses to look for work, we're going into winter and I can't afford to support us all winter like I did last year. This is just a repeating cycle and I plan on leaving in April, once I can get a place of my own, because this pattern of behavior is just making me resent him, I don't even enjoy being touched by him anymore. I also would mention that if he wanted to stay home and take care of the house, I would figure out where we could cut expenses and be fine with that, but he wants a parade for doing a load of laundry(washed not dried or folded) and after I work all day I come home and he asks what's for supper. I'm just looking for advice on how to go about leaving. Do I tell him I'm leaving in April so he has a chance to figure things out. Or do I just save my money and tell him once I've signed a new lease? Or do I tell him this winter is his last chance to show me he wants to be together.
INFO: Been together 3 years, and money has always been a little bit if a stress for us. Both our names are on the lease, but all the utilities are in my name, as well as I own(receipts as proof) 80% of the furniture in our home.
Tldr; boyfriend is lazy and entitled, do I give him warning
