22 going on 23 single obviously, and Male.

Right outta college, have a programming job that I absolutely love, at the company I love and always wanted to be at.

Here is the problem with my daily cycle right now:

Currently go into work: I work in a department of only 1 other programmer person (Older male) and a project manager who is also older. Both amazing people, just older and they keep to themselves.

Our department works in a more "secluded" section of the building, meaning that we don't sit in a huge mass of other people. I rarely leave my desk anymore, eat lunch at my desk, and then leave at the end of the day.

My parents live in the same town, so for dinner most of the time I go over to their house for dinner or we all go out to eat.

After that I just come home chill for an hour or 2 and then repeat the cycle.

Weekends I mostly stay at home or bounce back and forth from my parents house.

No real true "friend" circle being right out of college all of them moved far away and beyond; however being in a secluded department of 1 other person, it's not the easiest to just pull random people aside and strike up a conversation...especially anyone who I might be able to date.

I don't really want to go to any "social events" because I have literally no one to go with and I've done the *cringe* "go by myself" trips to events in college and they were absolutely horrendous I felt like a huge idiot and I'm not too inclined to do that again lol.

Thoughts or suggestions? Time is already flying by, and I am starting to see myself go down the path of forever alone at this rate if nothing changes.

I've considered an ultimatum that if things are exactly the same way they are now, I might try some "serious" online dating such as E-harmony or something in January...

**TL;DR*\* Not sure how to get out of the cycle I am in. Hard to meet new people my age and people I would make friends with or possibly date.
