Alright so me and this girl who we will call Jane from now on have been chatting for a while now and at every social gathering/party we always end up with each other talking into the wee hours of the morning. It's never gone anything further than that but recently a mutual friend of ours has told me that Jane is interested in me and tbh I am very interested in her.

Only problem is I recently found out Jane has been in a relationship with a lady (f19) for about a year now. I asked her about it last night and she told me she's been trying to break up with her for ages because is abusive and never leaves her house. The girlfriend has also threatened self harm if Jane leaves her.

Jane has invited me over to her house next weekend and it will be just me and her. I'm not sure if I should go because it will almost certainly lead to something intimate. Should I wait for her to break up with her current girlfriend which could be anywhere from a couple days to another year depending on how dire the situation actually is. Or should I just go for it?

I think I already know the answer but I'm just looking for some insight. Thanks.

TL;DR there is mutual interest between me and a girl but she is an abusive relationship that she can't get out of.
