I met her a month ago in one of my classes in college. We started talking and now sometimes she would ask if I'm on campus and sometimes I would ask if she was on campus, so we could hang out. She seemed friendlier the more I saw her. I became attracted to her, eventually. This week I saw her on two separate days - one day in the library and the other day in class and then we took the train home together. I had the chance to ask if she wanted to do something on the weekend, but for some reason I couldn't get the words out. Fast forward to today and I texted if she would be in the library later and she replied with not today. I couldn't ask in person anymore so I decided to text if she had any plans for the weekend and if she had time to do something. She replied with "she doesn't really have time and if she did she would be with her boyfriend or family." Now I'm wondering if she's just saying that to play hard-to-get because all the time we talked she never mentioned a boyfriend until today. Everytime I asked how her day was or how her weekend was she would just reply with "I had work." I really like her and if there's anything I learned from the past year, it's that I shouldn't wait to say the important things - I never got to say "I love you" or "goodbye" to my grandma before she died. I don't want to bottle up my feelings anymore and I think it's important for me to let her know how I feel, regardless of whether she has a boyfriend or not. I already know what I'm going to say, I was just wondering what your thoughts are on my dilemma.
