Post Body

I've been with my SO for 6 years, engaged for 4 months. We live together with roommates and have opposite work schedules. He is a wonderful partner who supports me whole heartedly. We enjoy spending time together but I feel like when we have alone time we run out of things to talk about, we don't joke and laugh like we do when our friends are around, and we resort to just saying lovey dovey things to each other instead of an actual conversation. A lot of times we look at our phones or sit in silence. For lack of a better term, I feel we are boring

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

tl;dr: SO and I are lacking in the communication department and it's boring
