Hi all,

I’m a 21, soon to be 22 year old guy from Lincoln, England who is really suffering from loneliness at the moment. My girlfriend, 22F, who I live with works away 3 days a week and so for almost half the week I’m left completely alone - most of my school friends left our city, and some even the country, for education and never returned. I work in an office where most are much older than myself, and I just struggle to relate to their conversations which mainly just encompass their children, and I dont believe for a second they would be interested, let alone have the time, to meet for anything out of work.

So for almost half my life, I’m essentially alone. I would love to meet friends but I have no idea where I would even begin, so I would love any tips at all that you guys may have. I’m not aware of any hobby-based hangouts in my area, and even if they existed, I wouldnt much know where to find them either. If anyone has any advice for me it would be greatly appreciated.

TL;DR I don’t have anyone in my life for half of it and don’t know how to improve my situation.
