Hi, I am excited to announce AI Olympics (https://twitter.com/RealAIGym), a competition focused on advancing artificial intelligence and robotics, taking place at IJCAI 2023. We invite motivated students and researchers in the fields of AI, machine learning, reinforcement learning, optimal control, and related areas to participate in this unique challenge. Visit our competition website at https://ijcai-23.dfki-bremen.de/competitions/ai_olympics/ย for more details.
The AI Olympics revolves around solving standard dynamic tasks on underactuated robotic systems, such as the Acrobot and Pendubot. Participants will first work in simulation, and the top 4 teams will be selected to carry out experiments on real robots. The challenge aims to improve the athletic intelligence of robots, stimulate algorithmic advancements, and facilitate reproducibility in robotics and reinforcement learning communities. Participants will compete against the baseline controllers on RealAIGym leaderboards available at: https://dfki-ric-underactuated-lab.github.io/real_ai_gym_leaderboard/
Please find a detailed description of the challenge, including motivation, tasks, rules, submission guidelines, schedule, and keynote speakers on our website: https://ijcai-23.dfki-bremen.de/competitions/ai_olympics/.
