Ankle sprained, how should I rehab it?

I stepped in a ditch and sprained my ankle 2 days ago. The heel hyperextended downward in relation to my toes, if that makes any sense. I’m assuming it’s a fairly minor sprain since I am able to carefully walk on it without much pain.

What is the proper way to rehab this at home? What exercises or stretches should I do?

How long should I wrap it, or should I buy a brace that will fit in my shoe?
