Why is Jim Rice in the Hall of Fame when Dwight Evens is the better overall player?

Prime example of why WAR doesn’t tell the full story. So sick of it being the go to stat to make full critical comparison. It’s a good stat for looking at a glance but not comparing great players to one another.
