How did Bob Stanley not get any blame for losing game 6?

He was a pitching coach for the Jays and Everytime I saw him I said “yeah he’s the guy who’s terrible wild pitch lost the lead”.

Here’s my theory: Everybody thinks they can field a ground ball. Nobody thinks that they can pitch in the majors.
Stanley’s wild pitch was absurdly awful. Honestly that felt like nerves more than the Buckner error where the ball took a 1 in a million change in direction enough for him to miss it. This one has bothered me for so long. Not that Bob Stanley should eat shit over it or that it should stain his career. But that’s what happened to a great ball player in Buckner.
