The economy is now based on consumption not production, so don't be surprised if in 15 years we all need consumption credits, aka UBI. Seeing the PMC class get automated away will be crazy. Better believe there will be more of a fuss over it than blue collar jobs, just like it is for the more educated Hollywood writers. The system can take only so much stress. Imagine all email jobs are automated, and then all trucking, with self driving cars. Which will both happen overnight. It has to get bad before it gets better, but if the reptile ghouls in charge have no one to give them money, they will invent a way to make it happen.
